Berlin

We have left Amsterdam and headed to Central Station to get our Eurail itinerary organised.  Thankfully they have very kind people who do this for you and then direct you to the First Class Lounge (as somehow Catherine managed to book us first class!) to await the first departure.  We have decided on 5 days of travel over 2ish weeks.  Our first will take us to Berlin, 6-7 hours.

Well, we have moved into a 2 level apartment, battled Elton John (Deutsche EJ) queen of the laundromat  (who probably thinks we are brainless women who have never washed in their lives!), managed to a get a new haircut for me, eaten at a Jewish deli, bought Thelma and Louise glasses for Catherine and generally had a good time checking out all the new fashions in the previously East German area.  We are living under the shadow of the TV tower - you will see it below, it looks a little like a Cleopatra's Needle that swallowed a giant golf ball.
